  • Afternoon Keynote Address: Eric Schwartzman (Author, PR Guru) "Social Marketing to the Business Customer"
  • Workshop: "Location, Images, & The Future of Digital PR" Led by Jolie Odell (Mashable)
  • Workshop Description: Location-based services have heretofore been limited to checkins, and tools for SMBs in particular have been sparse, leaving little opportunity for really engaging with users. But there's lately been an explosion of new tools (for brands) and new technologies that help brands get more engagement by really creating special, memorable, and valuable experiences for users. But LBSes are still not anywhere close to mainstream; you're reaching fewer than 6% of consumers. So how can you reach more people with your brand's message? Image-sharing is something a lot more consumers are willing and able to do, and brands are creating "brand love" and getting great participation from fans/brand ambassadors through apps like Instagram, Picplz, etc. All you need for success is a little creativity and knowledge of your community.

  • Workshop Description: What do Rock Stars and Porn Stars know about the effective use of Social Networking for effective fan engagement that you don't? Where are the tools and techniques that keep fans clicking through and why it's not necessarily sex that always sells? Stay classy, kids... this panel is completely SFW and promised to be a lot of fun. This breakout session will have you performing like a Porn Star and revered like a Rock Star by your peers in no time.

4:15-5:00 p.m.: Keynote Address: Joshua Weinberg (The Digital Life Consulting Group)

  • "Launch Lessions: Proven Principals for Incredibly Successful Launches"
  • (Highlight: Today, consumers don't just expect a great product, they expect a great product experience. The product experience does not start or end with the product. The experience starts with: Product information gathering; Then goes to purchase; Deliver is next; Onto the ub-boxing experience; Setup is next; folled by first use; Repeated as follows (with customer support as needed); And finally disposal and replacement. This presentation gives lessons for successfully launching a product experience illustrated by positive and negative case studies taken from Apple and other consumer technology companies.)

Testimonials:

"The PR Summit Boot Camp was filled with experts on how to -- and not to -- manage public relations in the age of social networking. Some of the experts were on stage, while others were in the audience -- as befits a world where increasingly the community is the point." (Ryan Singel, Wired.com staff writer)

"I really enjoyed participating in the San Francisco PR Summit Boot Camp Conference. The speakers and attendees were all experts eager to learn and debate the future of PR and its implications. I learned so much and left with actionable recommendations on how to improve PR efforts for my company." (Tamara Mendelsohn, Director of Marketing, Eventbrite)

“PR Summit Boot Camp by Shaun Sanders of Graffiti PR was an inspirational event that brought together thought-leaders in the areas of Social Media and PR and provided insights on how to blend social marketing and traditional PR. It was a pleasure to speak on the panel on "Cultivating Evangelists", share insights and exchange ideas with other high-caliber speakers and attendees.

(Liana Burtsava, Trendy Lime)

“I loved being part of the 1st Annual PR Summit Boot Camp with a great gathering of PR and Marketing Practitioners.  The insights and exchange of ideas and challenges proved valuable as we all strive to improve our PR and Marketing efforts. Am confident all attendees left with at least one new nugget to implement. I look forward to participating again next year!” (Beth Schnitzer | Vice President, Strategic Alliances  | PIER 39)

“As a brand manager and marketing professional, I found Graffiti PR’s boot camp interesting, educational and a great opportunity to be around other like minded creatives.  There are lots of tools to use in our pursuits, but getting together in learning and networking environment can never be replaced.  Thanks for a great afternoon.” (Bob Boemer / Marketing and Events, Hard Rock Café, Western Region)
